The construction of DwarkaKunj started in 1913. The construction of this massive unit took 4 years and it was opened for public in the year 1917. It was one of the largest dharamshala in Agra region and was named as “MirzapurwaliDharamshala”.

LalaJamunadasJi Bajaj of Bisau, Rajasthan started the construction and it was inaugurated by his son Seth RameshwardasJi Bajaj. Shri Pradeep Kumar Bajaj, grandson of Seth Rameshwardasji started his dream project of converting this Dharamshala to a budget hotel namely “DwarkaKunj”. It is situated adjacent to Vrindavan Railway Station on Mathura Vrindavan Road. The Bajaj family is currently having its establishments at Kanpur, Mirzapur and Vrindavan.
